Volunteer for the Bone Shaker Gravel Grinder

  • Hotel Albuquerque 800 Rio Grande Boulevard Northwest Albuquerque, NM, 87104 United States (map)

The Day of the Tread Bone Shaker Gravel Grinder is a bicycle event benefiting Carrie Tingley Hospital and other New Mexico children & family charities, including Cottonwood Classical Foundation. CCF, a nonprofit raising needed funds for Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School, a public charter school, is partnering to provide volunteer support for the event. Volunteers are needed for a recharge station. Adult volunteers are also needed to serve as spotters. Spotters need to bring their own bicycle to the event and will ride along the route to help direct participating cyclists.

Volunteers will meet near where the bicycle route begins: Hotel Albuquerque’s East Parking Lot. All routes leave 20th Street and soon enter the Bosque – the Cottonwood Forest that borders the Rio Grande. Spotter locations are all through the route. The longer route wraps up into the Sandia Foothills. Spotters on the longer route will not be needed until 830 or 9 am.

Interested volunteers should fill out the link below and a CCF organizer will reach out to you individually to provide more information.
