We are thrilled for our longtime friends at Crossroads for Women! This spring, Crossroads for Women finalized the purchase of a 30,000 square foot facility in downtown Albuquerque to serve as their new, permanent home. The facility, to be known as Crossroads Village, will serve as a central hub for the organization and house the majority of programs and staff.
On Saturday, April 24th, we are helping Crossroads pack up their things and give their new place a fresh coat of paint. There are two shifts available - 9am-noon and noon-3pm. Each shift is limited to 5 volunteers to allow for distancing. COVID-19 safety precautions will be implemented at the event. Snacks will be provided! Please dress for painting and packing/unpacking.
The mission of Crossroads for Women is to provide comprehensive, integrated services to empower women emerging from incarceration to achieve safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives in the community, for themselves and their children. At the new Crossroads Village, the organization will be able to expand and strengthen their services to women in the community, including the creation of a dedicated children’s area and playground, state of the art vocational services training and computer lab, full commercial kitchen, and more.
