Join the team of volunteers at Rio Grande Food Project’s Drive Thru Food Pantry. A small number of volunteers are needed each week to register clients, direct traffic and distribute food boxes at this outdoor, socially-distanced grocery distribution. Volunteers must wear masks at all times and must adhere to all COVID-19 protocols. Online registration is not available for this service project. To learn more and register, please contact Shana at ABQ Involved by emailing shana@abqinvolved.org or by calling or texting 505-695-2613.
Since 1989, Rio Grande Food Project has worked with community members to prevent and end hunger among children, adults, and seniors throughout the Albuquerque metro area by reducing local food waste and providing low-income households with needed groceries. Rio Grande Food Project is the largest food pantry on the west side. RGFP has adapted its food distribution to meet the needs of Albuquerque families during the pandemic.
