Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. The goal of its 10-12 week program, held in schools of Bernalillo and Valencia County, is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event.

Race day volunteer needs include set up, registration, traffic control, race track stations, finish line crowd control, cheering, clean up and others. 8:00 AM – On-site registration and packet/t-shirt pickup
8:30 AM – Pre-race activities
9:00 AM – Race Start
