Help our local environment! Querencia Green, winner of our January 2015 grant, has been working with James Brooks and his design and installation team, experts in herbicide application, and volunteers to build a system of basins and berms that improves Tijeras Creek’s water quality and solves stormwater management problems.
Querencia Green organizes work parties to provide hands-on experiences for students and others with stormwater harvesting/green infrastructure, the suppression of invasive plant species, habitat restoration, and improvements in soil health and stabilization. We will know our specific project as we get closer and the winter/spring transition occurs.
